Aspiration
An abortion is one of the safest outpatient procedures there is. Aspiration is used for an early pregnancy with sedation and anesthesia.
You will have a sonogram at the end of the procedure to ensure the process is completed
The procedure itself lasts a few minutes. You will stay in the office less than an hour to recover.
We'll give you the antibiotics and pain medication to take home. You'll return the office in two weeks for a follow up exam.

This method requires no anesthesia nor surgery, it is an option if the pregnancy is less than 9 weeks.
The pill has been used by millions of women worldwide for the past 20 years.
The pill method is a combination of two medications mifepristone ( RU 486 mifeprex ) and misoprostol.
The RU486 blocks the progesterone receptors in the uterus causing the abortion. Misoprostol is a prostaglandin analog that causes the loss (expulsion) of the products of conception.
You'll take the first pill (RU 486) and the next day the second set (misoprostol) at home. Bleeding start within the first 24 hours or so. We'll give you the antibiotics and pain medication to take home.
